FAQs
Fairmount Fruit Farm
Do we need to bring our own bags or containers for apple picking?
For apple picking, customers are required to use our provided containers. Personal backpacks and large handbags are not permitted in the orchard. We reserve the right to inspect all bags and individuals. Any apples picked that do not fit within our containers will incur additional charges, either as a fee determined by management or by weight for excess apples. Are you dog-friendly?
We welcome dogs in both our farm stand and orchard. However, we kindly request that dogs remain on leashes at all times, and owners clean up after their pets. Additionally, we ask that dogs be kept at a distance from our goats and sheep to prevent frightening these animals.Do you hold events?
Yes, we do host various events throughout the year. For the most current information on upcoming events, please refer to our website. Are you certified organic?
While we are not a certified organic orchard or farm, we employ responsible farming practices. Our apple trees do require spraying, but we use USDA-approved products including fish oils, calcium, and lime. Our greens and vegetables are grown without the use of sprays or chemicals. Are you handicap accessible?
Our driveway is suitable for wheelchairs and walkers. However, the orchard terrain may present challenges for these mobility aids. While it may be possible to pick apples from the first few rows, we generally do not recommend orchard access for individuals using wheelchairs or walkers due to the uneven ground. What is a CSA?
CSA stands for Community Supported Agriculture. It is a mutual commitment between a farm and its community. CSA members purchase a share in advance, helping cover early-season costs like seeds and labor. In return, members receive a weekly share of the farm’s harvest as well as a 10% off reward card for in-store products during the CSA season.
